St Peter's, Thorner

Welcome to to St Peter's Church, Thorner.

We are an Anglican church in the village of Thorner, and part of the Elmete Trinity Benefice along with St Phillips, Scholes and All Saints' church in Barwick-in-Elmet.

We extend a warm welcome to everyone and, whilst we have a fairly traditional heritage, we offer a variety of worship services each Sunday at 9.15am.  You would be very welcome to worship with us.

Safeguarding

St Peter's Thorner is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding officer (PSO), Helen Stiles.
The Anglican Diocese of Leeds safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding team who advise our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact our PSO, Helen Stiles or Jenny Leccardi in the Diocesan Safeguarding team - who can be contacted on: 0113 353 0257 or by email at: [email protected]

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police or the local authority children or adult social care services.
